African Americans in Science - Discover the many contributions of African American Scientists.
Basic 3D Design - Design your very own 3D image that can be printed on a 3D printer. Participants will be shown basic instruction on how to build and create in 3D. These 3D prints will then be saved to a flash drive for printing on your own.
Basic Electrical Soldering - Learn how to solder wires together to complete circuits. Participants will learn solder safety and technique while building their own flashlights.
Basic Robotics - build your own robot with ease. Learn about circuits while enjoying making your own “brushbots”.
Early Siege Weapons - Physics? Oh yeah! Trebuchet, catapults, and ballista show just how advanced early civilizations were with mathematical concepts.
Magic of Science - Is it magic? No, its science! Learn and explore science that can fool people into thinking they just seen “magic”.
Mind Games - Explore basic Psychology while learning about the brain. Participants will find that the mind can play tricks on us when we least expect it.
Rockets 1 - Newton and his laws of motion helped get us into space. Investigate these laws as we design straw and water rockets. We will then test our designs with an epic launch.
Rockets 2 - Building off of our knowledge of Newton’s Laws of Motion from Rockets 1, we build reusable engine rockets.
Solar - Investigate the power of the sun. Students will learn the pros and cons of radiant energy. Making a solar oven is just one of the cool, I mean hot, things we do.
Survival Science - Learn the science of surviving. Where do you get water? Which way is north? Learn basic survival skills for the unpredictable world we live in.
Wind Power - Build mini wind turbines that generate their own electricity!
Women in Science - Discover the many contributions of female scientists.
